Carlene Hall Lending Library
United Cerebral Palsy's T.A.S.C. received funding from "Paint the Streets 5K" in memory of Carlene Hall. In order to improve the quality of life for individuals after a spinal cord injury, T.A.S.C. purchased equipment to add to the lending library. Many thanks go out to the wonderful people at SAIC and ADTRAN who made this possible!

Online Training
T.A.S.C. has recently been awarded two new online training programs:
ACDD (Alabama's Council for Developmental Disabilities) has funded Project ACT (Accessible Computer Training). Individuals with disabilities will have access to basic computer training both on-line and in the community (libraries, computer centers). Click here to learn more or visit our Project ACT training site at www.accessiblecomputertraining.org to register for updates when the training becomes available.
STAR (Alabama's Assistive Technology Resource, a federally funded program) has awarded T.A.S.C. a contract to provide free on-line training in assistive technology for individuals with disabilities, families, and professionals. On-site trainings can also be contracted at a reduced rate.

Thank for visiting T.A.S.C.'s web site. T.A.S.C. is
committed to helping individuals with disabilities obtain and use technology
to maximize independence. T.A.S.C. became a non-profit organization
in 1980. In 2005, T.A.S.C. partnered with United Cerebral Palsy of Huntsville
and Tennessee Valley (UCP) in order to ensure that clients had a variety
of services available. As a partner, T.A.S.C. works with UCP's physical
therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, special instructors,
and the Childcare Enhancement with a Purpose (CCEP) training teams to
enhance the provision of services.
T.A.S.C. is a program of UCP and relies on the community to help fund the program. Although we are affiliated with the Alliance for Technology Access (ATA) and are a Microsoft Accessibility Resource Center (MARC), T.A.S.C. receives no funding from any national programs (like United Way, National UCP) or product vendors.
In order to be funded our program, we rely on grants and donations of all types and sizes. Thanks to our generous benefactors, T.A.S.C. provides a variety of services for minimal or no costs. If you would like to help T.A.S.C. continue providing access to technology to individuals with disabilities, please contact us for additional information or donate here.
