Individualized AT Trainings

Workshops

Through STAR funding T.A.S.C. is offering free on-line trainings courses. The trainings will allow individuals to learn information at their convience using the internet. Please visit:

T.A.S.C. also offers workshops to educate individuals about specific adaptive technology devices or software.

Individualized AT Trainings

To better accommodate diverse learning needs, T.A.S.C. offers individualized training modules to provide personalized and hands on assistive technology training. Participants decide when, where, and what combination of training best fits their needs. Modules include:

  • ABC's of Assistive Technology
  • Intellitools Classroom Suite
  • Marvelous Math
  • Adapting Toys
  • Switches and Switch Software
  • AAC for me!
  • P.A.L.'s
  • No Special Software
  • Specific Software Training
  • Low Tech/No Tech
  • Electronic Textbooks
  • Microsoft Accessibility

    • T.A.S.C. will provide additional assistive technology training modules not listed above in order to meet any specific training needs.

    Cost: (minimum 1 hour, but can bill for half hours after first hour)

    $50/hour on location PLUS 45¢/mile and $15/hour for travel time if mileage exceeds 50 miles one way. Maximum of 5 participants.

    or

    $20/hour at T.A.S.C./UCP in Huntsville. Maximum 3 participants.

    All independent trainings include a certificate of completion (with time and topic listed) but no training manuals will be provided. ASHA credit is available for some classes.
